Taking your specific needs into account, I can work with you, to enable you to begin to make positive changes so you are able to gain the control you need within your life and reach your desired outcome.
Working at a pace you feel comfortable with, whether it is in the form of short term solution focussed counselling. Or a longer block of work you feel, you may require.
We will review our work at regular intervals during this process to make sure you are acheiveing your desired outcome.
With any type of therapy it is important to understand that to bring about change I can give you tools, strategies, guidance and a different prospective but the many body of work is down to you and the work that you do on yourself during this process.

Hypnotherapy is a powerful tool that can help you overcome negative patterns of behavior. It can make changes that can enable you to reach your full potential. Often with hypnotherapy people's interpretation can be misplaced and this process can be seen negativity, as it is often seen as a stage performance that has seen someone's behaviour changed and often with a level of humiliation attached. This unfortunately puts many people off.
Your first appointment with me, will be establishing what you hope to achieve, we will explore past events that have led you to seeking support and together we will decide what therapy path to follow.
I will work with you so you feel safe and at ease before we start the process of change.
We will create a plan of therapy which is customized to meet your unique needs.

At EK Therapies, I specialize in helping individuals deal with anxiety, panic attacks and difficult, challenging situations and environments. I believe that everyone can benefit from The Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), which involves tapping on specific acupressure points to ease anxieties and fears. My goal is to help you find a sense of peace and calm, and to build resilience so that you can cope with whatever life throws at you.
After your initial consultation we will explore the areas in your life that are causing you to strugggle. we will choose a specfic area to work on and discuss a goal before we start, so you have a clear understanding what EFT is and how it can help.
EFT is often referred to as Psychological acupressure as it uses the fingers to tap on the energy meridians that are situated just beneath the surface of the skin.
It can help manage emotions and troubling thoughts and help lower stress, anxiety and anger levels helping you to take control and to feel calmer.

At EK Therapies, I recognize that the menopause can be a challenging time for many of us women. My approach to coaching is unique in that we focus on understanding your struggles with the symptoms of menopause and help you explore your options for coping with this transition. I can offer a range of strategies and solutions to help you deal with the symptoms and challenges of menopause. We will look at the options that are on offer so you have all the information available to you so you can understand the best way to deal with this challenging time of life.

Often things happen in life that lead to us not being about to cope with day to day life.
A specific trauma that continues to be replayed in our minds.
This particular area of work can be very difficult and care must be taken to understand that one session will not be enough to bring about change.
Timing is very important and you must be at a time when you feel ready and committed to work in this area.
After an initial consultation the first session will involve making a therapy plan this will give you time to decide whether you feel ready and it will enable us to work on a care plan so you feel safe.
It also gives an opportunity for further assessment, so I can make sure I have the skills to help meet your needs. As a referral can be made if necessary.
Trauma work can be difficult so I recommend that a block booking is made and this will be dicussed in more detail at your first session.

It is important once your sessions of counselling have come to an end, you carry on with the postive changes you have made. Sometimes keeping on track can be a little difficult with the challenges of everyday life. With a self care session we can look at what needs to be put in place, so you can get back on track. With a little refresh of all the work we have done and exploring the areas where change is needed we can re-frame your thought patterns, so you leave knowing which direction to go.
This is just a single session that you can choose to have if you feel you have lost your way slightly.
